Compliance 4 Buildings cannot stress highly enough the importance of arranging your SAP calculations before building work commences. The forethought in arranging for SAP Calculations at the initial stage should help prevent the building failing to meet building Regulation Standards. In the event a building fails, our SAP assessors can give you advice on how to improve the specification in order to achieve compliance.
There are a number of different types of commercial buildings which need an SBEM calculation. SBEM Calculations are a mandatory requirement for any heated, new commercial building exceeding 50m2 floor area including: • Offices • Warehouses • Retail units • Restaurants • Leisure centres • Retirement homes
Property conversions are generally more complicated from an acoustic perspective due to flanking. Flanking occurs when sound travels from one space to another around the dividing medium (e.g. wall). When this occurs it becomes somewhat of an investigation to determine how this is resolved.
When Compliance 4 Buildings are instructed to provide air testing we send out documents to contractors advising of common faults. To help on site, our Air Testers inspect the buildings to advise on potential areas of failure.
Water Calculations can be produced from the plans provided by an architect without the need to attend site.
The main purpose of ventilation is to remove polluted or stagnant air from within a room or building and replace it with fresh air.
